The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) published the results of its annual survey on October 2, 2026. The survey indicates that 79% of firms are highly satisfied with their relationship with the FCA, an increase from 74% the previous year.

The survey findings are part of the FCA and Practitioner Panel annual survey, which provides insights into the FCA's performance. The report highlights that 88% of firms understand the expectations under the Consumer Duty, reflecting the FCA's efforts to clarify its requirements.

The survey applies to regulated firms, including cryptoasset service providers (CASPs) and payment institutions. The FCA noted a significant increase in firms' confidence regarding its ability to protect consumers and ensure market integrity.

The FCA has implemented measures that have delivered an estimated £5.6 billion in benefits to consumers and the economy. These include reducing reporting burdens to save firms around £16 million annually and establishing a new regime for cryptoassets.
