Central Bank of Ireland launches MiCAR Title II Notification Portal

The Central Bank of Ireland will require submitters of certain crypto-assets to use the new MiCAR Title II Notification Portal for submissions, modifications, and related notifications.

The Central Bank of Ireland announced the upcoming launch of the MiCAR Title II Notification Portal on 23 October 2026. Submitters of Crypto-Assets other than Asset-Referenced Tokens or E-Money Tokens must use this portal for notifications and related submissions.

The MiCAR Title II Notification Portal is established under the Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCAR). The specific requirements for submissions are detailed in the notification provisions.

The new portal applies to Crypto Asset Service Providers (CASPs) and token issuers involved in crypto-assets. These entities must prepare for the new submission requirements.

A system guide will be published by the end of Q4 2026 to help users understand the new submission process before the portal's launch. Further information will be available on the Central Bank's webpage regarding MiCAR regulations.
