The French authorities, including the AMF, ACPR, Banque de France, and French Treasury, proposed revisions to the MiCA regulation on 21 October 2026. This proposal is part of ongoing discussions regarding the regulation of crypto-assets in the EU.

The proposed revisions relate to the European regulation on Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA), which governs the issuance and services of crypto-assets not covered by existing financial regulations.

The proposals apply to crypto-asset service providers (CASPs) operating in France and the EU, as they will need to adapt to potential changes in compliance requirements.

The proposals are set to be released on 21 October 2026, indicating a significant timeline for CASPs to prepare for changes in regulatory obligations.
